The owner Bertrand is an enthusiastic host, and explained each wine in detail, showing us where in the region the vineyard is based, and sharing details about the winemaker, grapes, style etc, and he did so all in English for us. It was such a great way to learn more about the local wine. He was keen to recommend various wines based on our preferences and we took away a bottle of one of Bertrand’s favourites to enjoy at home. Behind Vinea Mea are Bertrand Thiebault and Michael Hospital, two friends driven by the same passion: wine and conviviality.

Bertrand Thiebault

Trained at IFCO after a first career in IT, Bertrand puts his knowledge of wine to work discovering committed winemakers and wines full of soul.

Michael Hospital

A tireless worker, Michael combines logistics and freelancing. He started out in IT, then set up as an entrepreneur. He has just launched nodalyx.fr, dedicated to AI automation, and puts this expertise at the service of Vinea Mea.
