A rich and distinctive palette of dried rose, morello cherry and sloe, complemented by notes of pepper and tobacco.
The attack is round with a clear, direct texture. It stands out for its silky tannins, which bring a great deal of finesse.
The finish is that of a wine that is approachable and easy to drink.
The estate's traditional know-how
This Saint-Joseph is made exclusively from Syrah. Grown on shallow soil resting on granitic metamorphic rock, this Syrah shows all its finesse under a moderate continental climate. It offers a straightforward structure and a silky elegance that characterise the great wines of the appellation.

The grapes are hand-harvested and fully destemmed before going into the vat. The estate uses a long maceration as well as malolactic fermentation to stabilise the wine.
The wine is aged for 12 months in 600-litre oak demi-muids. No fining is carried out and filtration is kept light to preserve the natural structure of the wine.
The Cru of Kings and Jesuits
Formerly known as “vins de Mauves”, Saint-Joseph has enjoyed immense renown since the 16th century, once gracing the tables of the kings of France. This granite terroir, named by the Jesuits in the 18th century, offers a perfect balance between the power of stewed fruit and spicy finesse.
